I contacted Mitchell's because I needed some business and tax advice for my small business. I had a very positive call with Andrew who listened and understood my concerns and invited me to meet his tax specialist Lisa. They found a solution and did so in a way that made something that seemed complex much easier to comprehend.

Mitchell's have been an absolute life saver - As complex as the care home sector is when it comes to acquisitions and takeovers, we came to learn that paying minimal for an accountant not having the right expertise simply resulted in an amalgamation of misstated profits in the P&L and overstated figures within the Balance Sheets, we were pulling our hair out as the numbers were just not making sense to not only the business owners but to the banks too.

We desperately needed help. We then approached Mitchell's, who listened and spent valuable time to understand the accounts, we had put Mitchell's in touch with the previous accountants to takeover and re-do everything so that we can start fresh and get to grips with what's what. Obviously it was at a fee, but cannot recommend Mitchell's expertise enough.

Given the little time frame we had and the deadlines that we needed to achieve, it was quite remarkable how Andrew in particular pulled through and delivered. He helped us: 1. Identify the problem 2. Resolve it 3. Implement a new system 4. Deliver a set of financial accounts to the banks in a matter of weeks. We are now in a much better position and have a sense of control especially after being introduced to the correct system (Xero) for our company finances. We will certainly be keeping Michell's as our accountant going forward Thanks Heaps.

We have been with mitchells for around 6 years now and We are completely satisfied with the service they provide for us. from the start we could see that these guys are top of their game, we had a lot of issues with our previous accounting process but once Mitchell's where on board things started to change. This isn't just tax returns and bookkeeping! Andrew and the team provide a full range of services from tax planning and payroll to business sales and pretty much everything they can do to help you.

They have been a absolutely amazing supporting our business through Covid, the advise and the timing of the advice has been a blessing through this confusing time. it's always a big decision moving accounting firms but we have never looked back these guys do a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone.

The best decision I have ever made within my working life was contacting Mitchells. I was drowning in a sea of paperwork, numbers, and questions I didn't have the answers to. Fearing the worst I contacted Mitchells hoping that someone might at least be able to offer some advice so close to self assessment deadline. Within minutes Liz contacted me.

The first words she said were "don't panic" within a few emails we had arranged a meeting the next day and after a relaxed, welcoming, understanding and invaluable meeting, Liz had not only answered all my questions that had been bugging me for years, but she had also taken my sea of paperwork and agreed to be my accountant. In no time at all my tax return was ready, I had signed it off and the stress that I felt year after year had gone. Years later Liz is still my accountant and long may it continue.

Nothing is to much trouble, every question is answered quickly and in a manner that is easy to understand, support is always at hand and how lucky is it when a meeting with your accountant is actually fun? A thousand thank you's for such a wonderful highly recommend service.

I came into contact with Mitchells after I first met Andrew McDaid at an informal meeting in a restaurant in Sheffield after a strong recommendation from a family member. Upon meeting him I instantly felt relaxed and was comfortable to explain to him the situation which had led to me wishing to close my business. The business was profitable, and everything was good, I simply had a change of personal position which meant I wished to close it down. Andrew said he had a few ideas in mind of how we could do this but wanted a little time to finalise his thoughts on which he felt would be the most efficient way.

Shortly after, Andrew called me directly and explained a couple of ideas but recommended a certain route which would be without a doubt the best path to follow. He gave a very clear explanation as to how this would proceed and, feeling entirely comfortable with his opinion I gave him the go ahead. Once the process was in motion I was introduced to Abigail Chadburn who ran the 'project' through.

It should be noted at this point that Andrew was always just a phone call away and was always at hand should he be needed. He was never too busy to take a call. Abi finalised the cessation accounts and subsequently passed them on to the liquidators to go through a Members Voluntary Liquidation. The liquidators then liaised with Abi, Andrew and myself until the transaction was complete which took only a matter of days. Mitchells continued support throughout the entire process made my life easier.

I cannot praise Mitchells enough. They are professional, friendly and always on hand at an instant to be there for any requirements one may have. I will certainly be passing on the recommendation which I got from my family member, onto anyone wishing for an accountant, adviser, or even a just a friendly conversation in the future.

Thanks to the training and advice provided by Mitchells I was able to learn how to use SAGE One application with no previous book-keeping experience. Myself and my husband have this year taken over a sign company and I wanted to be involved in some way. I now feel confident in using the package and the staff at Mitchells have helped with any queries or problems I have had no matter how small. I have been very impressed with the service I have received and the help they have provided. I'm now able to use the package with confidence.
