SBA was established in May 1992 as a Sole Practitioner undertaking book keeping and accountancy work by a Finance Director of Long Standing. It soon became apparent that the proprietors role was dramatically different from one of managing, to actually working within the business. The business commenced from day one at 85 Saltergate, which is an excellent central location, very close to the towns central car parks.

It was during this early phase that it was realised that the accountancy profession tended to focus upon the medium sized and upward businesses, leaving the small sole trader/partnerships to fend for themselves, hence this specialised marketplace was found, and has now grown to include the small Limited Liability company.
