Stephen Ward who charges 200 per hour has been director to 29 companies, Callan financial group, Callan accountancy and tax advisors limited (dissolved via voluntary strike off 08/2013 ), Callan accountancy Glasgow(dissolved and liquidated 10/2015) Callan group (liquidated 03/2021) and many more. They keep changing names but under same management. Callan financial group website looks genuine in one way until you deal with them. Stephen Ward is not regulated by any financial institutions or the team you deal with through phone calls or emails.

They take more than 48 hours to email back if you are lucky enough. Making phone calls you won't get the right information as they will give excuses how busy they have been and will get back to you. They use apps which are downloaded from play store. Dext app is free for 14-day trial and intuit QuickBooks is also available for download for less than 20. If you ask for refund, they will say they have finished all the work in reality nothing done.

I cannot recommend Brendan Kelly enough. He is by far the most experienced accountant I have used and I have no hesitation in recommending him. Brendan used to work for HMRC and I believe this experience gives him an edge over other accountants. Brendan is highly experienced in all matters of tax both for businesses of all sizes and Private Client Tax matters.

We have been using for about 7 years and a wonderful service. They're not like accountants we have used in past they do think with technology and we have found it great as we are quite remote.

Callan Accountancy set-up my business account, handled all communication with Company House, compiled and calculated all returns for HMRC including VAT and Corporation tax in a timely manner. They were for myself, quite personal as there were professionals from each department who dealt with me. They were always very efficient and I would have no problem at all in recommending them to future customers.

Everything is done in plenty of time and they always give me plenty of notice of things like VAT return dates (and a few reminders when I'm late supplying the info.).
