Turning our business into a thriving enterprise was my main concern. James, Stanley & Co has turned that challenge of developing what we already knew, but found hard to put into practice, a simple one-step process. We had chatted to several accountancy firms without really feeling that any of them were any different to each other until we met Andrew through BNI whose personality and a genuine interest in our business shone through. This proved to seal the deal for both Alison and myself and our decision has been proven correct.

One of our greatest strengths is our team of experienced, approachable and dedicated professionals, who between them have many years of experience in a wide range of accountancy services. The practice emerged in the 1920s, founded by Mr. George Frederick James who started his own practice after the sudden demise of his former employer, Mr. Prichard of Prichard & Co. Accountants. Mr. James' new practice benefited from his previous clientele contacts at Prichard & Co. The establishment was soon joined by Mr. Clarence Percival Stanley upon his qualification as a Chartered Accountant.
I set up my business back in the early 1990s with my wife Janet and we specialised in precision grinding of machine tools in those days. Initially, we traded as a partnership before incorporating in 2000. It was just after our incorporation that we changed accountants to James, Stanley & Co., having previously used a couple of accountants who we felt did their job but little more.

I would just like to say a big thank you to James Stanley and Co! Last year they completed my self assessment tax return and provided a great service. However I did decide to attempt completing my own return this year, which I managed with a few issues. Chloe was so helpful and she continues to advice me when I need her even though I have not continued not use their service.
