We were recently contacted by Abel and Morliss to suggest we were owed a refund on some of the land tax we paid on a small holding purchase. Initially we were a little sceptical, but after speaking to Chris, who clearly explained what we might be owed and the process, we decided to proceed. Like many, we were skeptical when we received the letter from Abell Morliss. However, our curiosity got the better of us and we did some research, including obtaining further professional advice. Everything indicated that we did have a valid case and so we pressed ahead. Abell Morliss were extremely professional throughout and kept things easy and simple. Our request for a refund was filed in early January and we received the rebate before the end of January.

After moving into our new home received a letter from Abell Morliss saying we may be entitled to stamp duty rebate. I usually ignore things like this due to so many scams out there. I can only echo the comments of the other reviewers. Scepticism overcome by clear explanations and follow ups, and a swift and amazing result. If something is too good to be true, it often is, and I was initially reluctant to explore this, but Chris and his team were very precise and professional about the existing parameters of our property that qualified it, unbeknownst to us or our conveyancing solicitor, for multi-dwelling SDLT treatment. A welcome windfall is the result.

Superb experience with Abell and Morliss from Chris and the team. Having been naturally sceptical at the beginning the whole process was run extremely efficiently as they handled our SDLT refund. Chris and his team are extremely professional and efficient. They processed our SDLT Refund application very quickly and we received our refund within 5 weeks of moving into our new property.
