We are a medium-sized accountancy firm based in North London. Cheesmans was started in 1990 by Carol Cheesman who had left a large accountancy firm in order to focus on what she felt was important - providing quality service for small- and medium-sized clients. Cheesmans has a wide range of corporate and personal clients. We always look beyond your immediate needs, taking an early interest in your business and personal financial affairs. Cheesmans likes to forge close working relationships with its clients - we try to meet clients face to face as often as we can.
Services
We offer the full range of services that you would expect from an accountancy firm, as well as additional services which afford us a rare and valuable breadth compared with other accountants:. We are registered to carry out audit work by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
We look to actively question key details rather than making assumptions, which helps to avoid future problems. This approach assists our clients in improving their business and staff dynamic. Cheesmans' philosophy is to provide a full financial service to our clients. By having a company secretarial department Cheesmans can offer a rare breadth of services, including those outside of what is normally associated with accountancy firms: for example, company incorporations and restructuring together with the preparation of wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate documentation.
At Cheesmans we aim to help your business achieve its goals. Whatever stage your business is at, whether it is newly incorporated or already up and running, the priority of assisting you in its development remains constant. Our range of business services, from company secretarial to accounts and corporation tax, are perfectly placed for offering you advice on compliance, structure, business systems, records and practices. We always look to provide business advice in conjunction with our role as accountants.
A company can be set up by anyone, with or without professional help. However, we would strongly recommend that you do consider professional guidance as ensuring your company is incorporated, with the correct structure for you, is not as easy as it looks, but is, in our experience, essential to avoid problems in the future; it is a common pitfall for new companies and is something we are keen to ensure our clients avoid.
