Adam Carter is the Director of FD Analytical and is both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Management Accountant – a unique balance of skills, which enables FD Analytical to provide supreme technical financial and commercial services and support to its clients.Having held some of the most senior accountancy and finance positions within UK and International FTSE 100, NYSE and unlisted PLC companies, Adam has a unique perspective on providing accountancy services to UK entrepreneurs and businesses.
FD Analytical was formed in 2008 following Adam’s own frustrations with typical UK accountants, who have often never experienced working within UK businesses and therefore often struggled to provide genuine support and advice.
Following over a decade of working with and within organisations and companies FD Analytical really understand what small & medium sized businesses (“SME’s”) require and need from an accountant – and it is often much more than a set of financial accounts and a tax return.

Massive thanks to Adam, meeting us to give advice and set up our new venture at 6.30am as that’s the only time we could all get together before going to our individual jobs. His knowledge is amazing and wants the business to succeed and grow through support not just crunch numbers! We recently moved our business to Adam Carter the principal of FD Analyical Accountants, we have just completed our first years accounts.
Adam is what you want from an accountant, produces quarterly accounts, does my VAT return, small wage run and all on time. At the quarterley accounts meeting, we also get sensible advice on how to improve our business and plan for any tax bills that might be due. It all sounds simple but most accountants I have dealt with have not been as good. I have and will continue to recommend Adam Carter.

After meeting with Adam Carter of FD Analytical last years I was very impressed with what he had to say in fact he
fed me with lots of information relating what I should be claiming against tax. My previous accountance firm with branches throught the Northwest did not claim for any of the things Mr Carter had advised me to claim for. I therefore hired FDAnalytical as my accountant and submitted my balance sheets etc, I could not believe that Mr Carter had saved me over £6000 in tax for my company Closed Circuit Security Ltd. Just goes to show what you can save by getting the right advice

I moved to FD Analytical as my accountants in 2015, and I couldn't believe how different the meetings were in comparison to my old accountants - I used to dread meeting up with my accountant in fear of getting a last minute tax bill or signing accounts that I just didn't understand! FD analytical just simply do what needs to be done but they talk to me about the future of my business, changing to a limited company, saving tax, getting a company car in the lowest tax way and getting my business an overdraft so that I could move to new premises, I'm really impressed and please and looking forward to my next meeting!!

I changed accountants during 2014, FD Analytical reviewed my previous accountants works and calculations, within 2 weeks they had changed my VAT registration type and saved me almost £9,000 a year and then identified a research and development tax credit claim which is likely to be yet another significant tax saving. Adam at FD Analytical is really great guy with a good sense of humor,
i feel like i am lucky to have found FD as i was dreading filing my thousands of pieces of paperwork alone, he will call/e-mail me back within hours and answer all my annoying questions, and the best thing about Adam/FD is they don't talk rubbish, once you have the backing of a good accountant the HMRC and VAT man are not so scary. no one wants to file taxes and VAT but if you are at that point just go ahead and get it done, you'll feel better, and your business will grow. Theres no better feeling than being 100% straight with your business. They will understand your business and know about everything and anything you can be doing to run more effectively.
