Hawsons Chartered Accountants was founded in Sheffield in 1854 - more than 25 years before the creation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales - by Alfred Allott and John Hewett. The firm has since grown to become one of the UK's leading independent accounting practices, with nearly 100 partners and staff across three UK offices, in Sheffield, Northampton and Doncaster.
The rural and agriculture sector is a specialist sector, with unique practices and conventions. We act for a large number of farmers, agricultural businesses and families. We recognise that charities and not-for-profit organisations have very different requirements from other businesses. We act for a range of charities and charitable organisations.
At Hawsons we provide a number of opportunities across each of our three offices in Sheffield, Doncaster and Northampton. We welcome students from any degree discipline, although we do expect candidates to be heading for a 2:1 degree and have at least 280 UCAS points and GCSE Maths and English Grade B, although some discretion may be exercised.
We offer all new clients a free initial meeting which will enable you to have a discussion about you and your business issues. To book your free meeting, please make contact with your nearest office, either by calling, sending us an email or contacting us online.

Since transferring our Charities accounts to Hawsons, I have been highly impressed by their dedication and professionalism. Their extensive knowledge and experience have reassured us that choosing Hawsons for our payroll needs and annual accounts report for the Charities Commission was absolutely the right decision.

I first went to Hawsons about a month ago and I was very surprised at the excellent work they can do in such a small space. The reason I am rating them a four (and not a five) is because the amount they charged me, I am not going to disclose what it was but it was a fair bit. However the services are worth paying and I would advise you all to give them a shot.
