We have been using Horsfield and Smith for our Annual Accounts for over 12 years and recently they have taken over our bookkeeping function, payroll and monthly management accounts. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I initially set up a business two years ago and used quick books and at the looming date of tex returns came up I thought i best get the professionals in. I explained that I was a new business and that I needed a lot of guidence and clarity on when I would be billed and how much, and although their fees were up to 5 times more expensive they assured me that by paying more eveything would e automated and they would hold my hand so to speak through everything.

They have failed to tell me when I would be getting bills (initially informing me you get a tax bill at the end of every april) then have twice sprang on me you owe so many thousands by the end of the week. I have repeatedly asked them for indication of how much I should be saving each month, they never respond. The told me for the 400+ a month my invoices would eb automated, my banks would link into the invoice system etc, none of it works AT ALL.

I emailed them on 5th August with all of my concerns, I hav estill not had a response, its 19th August! Poor service, poor customer care and will leave your accounts a mess if you do want to switch!

I have been with this accountancy firm for a couple of years following on from 3 other accountancy firms. I can honestly say that they have provided a stress free way of managing my accounts at a very reasonable rate all inclusive at the end of the year. Compared to who I have used before I would have give them five stars but feel there is always room to become better more focused and efficient. I have been very happy with horsfield & smith and have recommended to others. I was paying much more and getting far less.
