We have always found the accounting advice received from Bookcheck, along with the payroll processing service they offer, to be of the highest quality and I am particularly impressed with their quick responsiveness. I would be happy to recommend them to other businesses, without hesitation.

A heads up if you are applying for a position with BookCheck - I had the most unprofessional and unstructured interview. One woman sat at one end of a long table behind a laptop and two women sat at the other end of the table and I sat opposite them. This meant that I was then turning away from them as questions were asked from each end of the table.

It occurred to me the interview was possibly being filmed, which would explain the strange set up - apparently not illegal to advise you if they are, but obviously amoral and very unprofessional. They all asked questions without allowing you to answer and it was all very unstructured. The accountant then sat next to me to show me some documents and ask questions - she was very close and I felt really uncomfortable.

I was told before the interview there would be a test and then on the day there wouldn't be. I felt so ill at ease that I picked up my bag, ended the interview and left. Needless to say I didn't get the job which was a great pity as I'm a carer and cannot go out to work but could work at home and with over 25 years experience of accounts and payroll this would have been ideal. I'm sure the service they provide is very good and they sound like a nice company to work for but just be prepared for a very strange interview. Good luck!

We first engaged BOOKCHECK in July 2017 and have delivered an excellent service throughout our contract. BOOKCHECK has run our accounting system on Sage, delivering comprehensive reports on time. This included Sales and Purchase ledgers, Stock control, Cash Book and Bank Reconciliations, VAT Returns and Monthly Management Accounts. BOOKCHECK have liaised and co-operated with our Accountants to allow them to produce Annual Accounts.

We recognize the inconvenience of BOOKCHECK having worked for us remotely (off site) but they have proved highly efficient. The book keeper who BOOKCHECK have assigned to us, is to be highly recommend for thoroughness and attention to detail. They have also shown great initiative and success in preparing monthly reports on time. BOOKCHECK's Managing Director has kept in contact with us to ensure things were going well. We have used Bookcheck for our payroll for well over 10 years, which speaks for itself. They do a great job and their personnel are friendly and approachable, as well as being very professional. We can't think of how we would cope without them!

I have used Book Check for nearly 3 years. My paperwork is sent on a monthly basis, which leaves me time to get on with running the business, It takes away the pressure to have someone on the end of the telephone that you can help you with book-keeping issues, payroll and even vat etc issues.
