In 2023 Steve set my company up for me with the wrong SIc code for the industry and didn't change it when told it was wrong. He was very expensive and was very unhelpful with what seemed like a general lack of accounting/business knowledge . Was advised not to get digital tax software which i clearly needed from day 1. Have now got a new accountant.

I have worked with many accountants over the years but none of them ever seem to 'get' what your company is about - it is no good having just 'scorekeepers' in my view. Paying high rates is OK if you get advice that is sound and also relevant to your business. With David Butler, I get the best of both worlds My experience with this firm of Kettering accountants is that I get better advice and support than I ever have from firms in London. I would heartily recommend anyone to meet up with them. You won't regret it.

I have never had to ask for planning advice from David Butler or his team at John S Ward. It happens as a matter of course and has never failed me. I hear people referring to accountants as 'score keepers' and it makes me smile because they need to meet David Butler just once and they'll think totally differently!I would happily recommend this firm without hesitation. David Butler has the most amazing memory for figures and legislation it is almost scary. But if he's on your side, you know you are. Safe and you know you'll never get into difficulty with HMRC or anyone else for that matter!
