Rennie Welch and its predecessor firms have practiced as accountants and business advisors in the South of Scotland since the 1920s. The firm was originally founded by John J Welch in Hawick and a number of years later he expanded the firm into Kelso. The firm continued to grow with satellite offices being opened in Galashiels and Langholm.

Colin specialises in providing wide ranging advice to farming clients, family partnerships and small companies. Gill has established a considerable breadth of experience within a number of client sectors, including charities, construction, leisure industries and owner managed businesses. Martin is involved in advising and setting up computerised record keeping systems for clients.
Having worked locally in general practice since 2002, Lynn qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009 and Chartered Tax Adviser in 2012, before joining Rennie Welch in 2014. Laura attended University in Manchester, graduating with a First Class degree in Business Economics. Following her time there, she moved back to her home town of Wooler and joined a local accountancy practice as an accounts clerk. In 2014 she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and once qualified joined Rennie Welch in 2015 in Kelso.
