Mintaplan Ltd was founded in 1978 by Rev D McNaughton BD CA with the main aim of providing affordable tax services to Ministers of Religion, their spouses and other church workers. We have grown steadily since then and we now have a much wider range of clients (self-employed, property owners, those with foreign income, investments or multiple sources of income, etc.) but our main aim remains unchanged, to provide a professional and affordable service.We have a workforce of 6 staff with over 100 years of experience between us of working in personal tax.
Services
Every one of us has a responsibility to advise HMRC if they owe Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax. Failure to do so in a timely manner can result in liabilities accumulating along with penalties and interest. At Mintaplan we help to make sure that you meet these responsibilities. At the end of each tax year, we routinely contact our clients for details of relevant income and outgoings during the year to enable us to complete their Return on their behalf.The completed Return is then sent to our client for approval before submission to HMRC.
If you receive income as a Minister of Religion then you must complete annual Tax Returns. Mintaplan has specialised in clergy taxation (for all denominations) since we were founded back in 1978. For ministers who use our Personal Tax Service we use forms which were designed specifically with clergy in mind.
