Irwin Donaghey Stockman has evolved from one of the oldest firms of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (Atkinson & Boyd) through a series of takeovers (Touche Ross) and mergers (Price Waterhouse, BP Stockman & Co), to be the largest independent accountancy practice in the Borough of Coleraine. A shared history with the earliest Chartered Accountants in Ireland, together with the Big Four management, has provided the foundation for today's dynamic practice.

Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984. In addition to giving advice to a wide range of locally owned and managed business he is responsible for the management of the Irwin Donaghey Stockman practice. Ian is involved in a number of voluntary organisations in Coleraine including Coleraine Harbour Commissioners, Coleraine Town Team Causeway Chamber of Commerce. In addition he sits on the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and is current chair of the Members In Practice Committee.
