Whittles was established in 1991 and we celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2021. We are now a three partner firm with over twenty staff. As Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors we advise about one thousand clients. Our clients consist of small and medium sized businesses/organisations, trusts, charities and personal clients based mainly in Essex and Suffolk but with others spread nationwide. We offer a full range of services to satisfy the needs of our clients from two offices, in Colchester and West Mersea.
We have established a strong network of other professional advisers to whom to entrust our clients. Whittles is registered to carry on audit work in the UK and Ireland by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. As essentially a one-man business, I rely heavily on the support and advice of the team at Whittles. Over the years they have helped me restructure into a partnership, sorted out a discrepancy made by my previous advisers on VAT, taken on the burden of MTD for my quarterly VAT returns and annual self-assessment and assisted me with personal tax planning as I begin to plan for retirement.
