Stourton Accountancy aims to provide a 'one stop shop' for all small and medium sized businesses. We specialise in helping small businesses with all of their accounting and management needs. Our clients range from self employed traders through to manufacturing companies and include most business types in between!
John Founded the firm in 2001. He has over 30 years experience in general practice working with a wide range of small and large clients. John also provides technical consultancy advice to other accountants around the country via his work with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Kim has many years experience in accountancy and giving business advice both in general practice and in industry.
Few exemptions are available from compliance: HMRC guidance can be followed to check if you are eligible. As previously reported in our November issue, there were pre-budget rumours circulating regarding large scale changes to entrepreneurs' relief. Post-budget there is some relief in the accountancy world as it appears that - for the time being - entrepreneurs' relief is here to stay.
The Chancellor made his annual Spring Statement speech today where he set out the Government's tax plan to support the UK economy, businesses and families in both the short and the medium term. We are raising the level at which people start to pay National Insurance contributions, increasing the National Insurance Primary Threshold (PT) and Lower Profits Limit (LPL) from 9,880 to 12,570.
