I changed accountant to Mitchell Edwards nearly a decade ago because the previous accountant was over-charging in an increasingly egregious way. When scouting around for a replacement Edinburgh-based accountant, Mitchell Edwards impressed me the most with their professionalism. I haven't for a moment regretted the switch and would heartily recommend Mitchell Edwards to any business owner.

As a small business owner I would not recommend Mitchell Edwards to other small businesses. I found Mark Edwards unapproachable and at times quite rude. Worst still when I asked them to provide an accountants certificate (which is sometimes required for self-employed) they refused. This nearly jeopardised my mortgage application! Recently I asked them for a reference for a work vetting process and again the request was ignored. Stay clear of this firm if you want an accountant who is willing to help small businesses.
