Over forty years ago a shy and nervous young lad just out of short trousers started work for a local firm of chartered accountants. Twenty years later he started R A Smith & Co in Leigh-on-Sea with two part-time staff. Some clients of thirty five years standing are still enjoying the services of this firm, known until 1st May 2004 as Clarke Kitchiner Smith and now under the name of CKS Accountancy Limited.

A: Your company has to have a registered office, which is often our address, rather than your home address. Official documents are sent here. Each Company must also file an Annual Return with Companies House at a cost of 13 on the anniversary of the Company's incorporation.
